Actor of a sustainable development…

We recently did a really radiography of our company to identify our good ways to do and our progress axe in terms of sustainable development. The result is quite good: we were already doing sustainable development without knowing it!

Today, we are very present on the local territory

Localized in the heart of Chalosse, in the tradition of foie gras root, we have known a real increase over the last 15 last years and we created a job every 3 weeks.
Moreover, we work with more than 80 producers and their families are about 250 employees from the foie gras ducks manufacture to the restaurants and shops in direct sales and also slaughter and transformation.

For us sustainable development is characterized by a lot of actions, ever in place and we can underline for instance:

At the environmental plan

The recycling of the water irrigation process: this consists in cancelling the dejects of all the treated industrial waters in natural place and to replace it by irrigation on the corn culture.
The development of new ways of breeding, more respectful of environment: we work and think all the time with our breeders and our next common goal is a work on biodiversity of species.
You also have to know that the paper news you have between your hands is printed with recycled paper in order to protect forests of our world.

At the social plan

We are involved into manifestations dealing with jobs to let people know our jobs which are unfearly badly seen.
In recruiting time, we organized several times “open doors” days for unemployed people, the “Pole Emploi” (=helps to find jobs) in Dax, the interim agencies which presents our tools and jobs offers…

At the local plan

• We really contribute to a local associative life: knowing our land richness, we have to sponsor local festivities, local sport teams…

We have to build everyday this sustainable development, by doing little actions quite simple which can be seen as nothing but, as a well-known French expression says: “les petits ruisseaux font les grandes rivières” (little streams make huge rivers).
